peas in a pod..

todays post goes out to an amazing woman who has kept me grounded the last couple of years, one who has made me recognise how important my friends are and how much comfort a true friend can provide (if they know it or not)
thanks for being the 2nd pea in my pod..
i will miss your smiling pea face every day, and I promise to squeal with excitement in your memory when things really excite me
..like puppies for example..
love you forever

DIY Doiley project..

i recently stumbled across the best DIY christmas decorations...or perhaps just a fun decorative idea to make your house more interesting all year round. I found this on 'Pininterest'
To get started you will need balloons, doileys (preferably from your grandmas house), paint brushes and wall paper glue.

1. Blow up the Balloon & tie a knot at the end
2. Collect together your doileys and paint them with lots of wallpaper glue so they are soaked completely
3. Hang the balloon on a string and put the soaked lace on the balloon. They have to overlap each other so they will stick together and connect. Put on another coat of extra glue when they are all on the balloon, just to be sure
4. Pop the balloon when the glue is dry. if you like you can attach a nice looking cord and lamp fitting to turn into a lamp. Otherwise just hang on their own.
Either way these are a great little weekend project that will look amazing.

talent time..

Make sure you check out the amazing art by the one and only..

Brooke Reidt
Brooke is an artist who lives and workes in Los Angeles, California. Brooke rarely sleeps and spends most of her time painting, writing, traveling and creating illustrative journals.

"Asphyxiation has taught me the art of effusion. I am a metopolitan mermaid with a moxie to live through constant migration. My paintings are memories, marks and maps to document my salvation from arteriosclerosis caused by oxidization. My destination is to create a contagion of demiurge through apostrophe and swell above the catastrophe caused by modern day miasma. That is my bio." - Brooke Reidt

vampires on my mind..

ever since watching breaking dawn I have had anything vampire associated on my mind. Though from the first watch, I think the movie was totally overrated when factoring in the budget they had. but I'll hold onto that thought and watch it again...just in case

another one off the list..

while browsing for the perfect wedding invitations, i stumbled across these bad boys.. if only i had a spare $3,500!
if you just got a payrise like julia gillard, click here to purchase some of your own customized invites.
why does it feel like i'm getting more crossed off my 'i'll never be able to afford that' wedding list and not my 'actual wedding' list?
