Zimmerman S/S 2011/12 collection...

One of my fav labels Zimmerman really upped the anti with their new S/S 2011/12 collection that opened at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. The collection was looking very different to the usual sexy beach vibe the brand is known for. Instead, it had more of a day-night feel to it. With more feminine styling, lots of lace texture, gorgeous fabrications and stunning silhouettes.

"I drove everyone crazy with this collection," said designer Nicky Zimmermann, referring to the airy yet labour-intensive looks that consisted mostly of geometric panelling and handworked lace effects that she admits pushed her production team to the limits. "I did want to do something quite different with the season and create a fresh new feeling, at the same time this had touches from when we first started with the lace and the sharpness of the silhouettes."

multiple shoegasm...

ok, let me take a big breath, phew... i didn't get my socks off (pardon the pun) just once by jeffrey campbell....no no, more like 6 or 7 times. unfortunately for me this man knows how to push lots of girls buttons, as all of the styles i wanted were sold out

apart from these ones i just bought..oops
this definitely helped put me in a better mood after yesterday

ebay web cam video bidding??

this is not a good day...

1- I took the day off to look at a wedding dress (shop not open)

2- I got laughed at by a guy trying to change over my electricity package at my front door (and he was laugh worthy just looking at him)

3- I got outbid on an amazingly cheap sass and bide dress at the last minute on ebay (definitely not good for my anger problem)

I think they should make ebay bidding avail with webcams..i want to see who i'm up against, and when the victory is yours you should be able to laugh and snicker straight at them and run around on you bed screaming 'i won'.

i also believe that this would make ebay more money. i would definitely have increased my maximum bid in fear of that moment happening. instead of sitting here in an amazing bright red sass and bide dress, i am sitting here in my harem pants (my 'cool' trackies) and ugg boots blogging about crap like this...

the only thing that can make this better? I'll bid on another one

whole wheat goldfish crackers...

a novel treat and something different to hit your taste buds when you get some spare time and feel like playing housewife...

RECIPE

Yield: About 100 1 1/4 inch goldfish

6 ounces (1 1/2 cups coarsely grated) sharp cheddar, orange if you can find one you like

4 tablespoons (2 ounces or 57 grams) butter

1/2 cup (2 1/2 ounces or 62 grams) whole wheat flour

1/4 cup (1 1/8 ounces or 31 grams) all-purpose flour

1/8 teaspoon onion powder

1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon table salt

Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine all ingredients in a food processor, running the machine until the dough forms a ball, about two minutes.

If the dough feels warm or worrisome-ly soft, wrap it in waxed paper or plastic wrap and chill it in the fridge for 30 to 45 minutes. This also makes it easier to transfer shapes once they are rolled out.

On a lightly floured surface, using a lightly floured rolling pin, roll the dough out 1/8-inch thick. Form shapes with a cookie cutter, dipping it in flour from time to time to ensure a clean cut. Gently transfer crackers to an ungreased (though mine were parchment-lined, because they are in despicable shape) cookie sheet with a 1/2 inch between them. Bake the crackers on the middle rack for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are barely browned at the edges. Remove from the oven and set the cookie sheet on a rack to cool.

a day of weddings...local and royal

this morning i thought it fitting that i post about the royal wedding...so i went to my trusty friend google (who never lets me down) and i found this...

there are no words that sprung to mind when i first laid eyes on this cake. my brain was pure mush but for some reason i was smiling, profusely. it has also inspired me to cut up my wedding cupcakes/macaroons with a sword, apparently it's a done thing these days.

Jason, you now have no excuse to forget your wedding anniversay- google will never let you down either, and

Sophie, you can now call yourself a wog and your no longer a 'no name' lasagne, you are the 'real deal' lasagne ;-)

my reason to buy a new camera...

i have been on the prowl for the perfect camera case to make me take my DSLR everywhere with me, it has proven to be a difficult task... after finding these bad boys i think i may have to swap cameras just so i can buy one :-(

wedding blues...

ok, looking up ideas for weddings has officially killed me... i just stumbled across these Mc Queens and nearly cried when i saw they were over 2000 pounds.

i guess Mc Queens really are an investment though right?

and what better way to put on the sop story...its for 'our wedding, it only happens once a lifetime, what's $3500 really?'
